Grinding Gears

This week has, if I have to describe it, it would be irate. People getting on my nerves, demanding even they are not in the position to do so, and various forms of imbecility and stupidity, that drive my gears into berating the world. Knowing that would be derogatory of my dignity - I decided to channel it here in my blog. So here are some of my pet peeves as a K-pop fan that grind my gears, maybe we share some similarities as well.
1. Koreaboos

These are the people that try to be like "oppa" or "noona". Please stop, you're embarrassing yourself. Converse with me in the language I am familiar with, don't act cute saying saranghaeyo or aigoo or other Korean words, it's irritating and it does not suit you, trust me.
Don't show off your chopstick skills, not every meal requires them, especially when you are in a fast food chain. Save yourself from doing the aegyo and gwiyomi - it ain't cute. Stop it with the frickin' finger hearts and simultaneously calling it the oppa sign, it will only tell how misinformed you are, the tragic truth.
Don't wear thick clothing and complain that it is hot - were a tropical country not South Korea.
I can talk to you about K-pop and K-dramas, let us be on the same page, don't overextend and over do it because it's anticlimactic.
2. EXO or BTS?

Neither, cause why not right? EXO has a place in my heart but I can name a lot more groups and soloists that deserve recognition from the public. Whenever asked with this question, I die a little inside because of the other artists that paved the way for K-pop groups today where they are now.
The comparison is predominant among Filipino fans - and to me this is very jejemon like, toxic, and uncalled for. EXO and BTS are both successful in their own rights with the EXO selling 4 million albums while BTS is getting attention in the West, but there are more groups that have caused sensations worldwide and become trends, let us honor their hard work and effort.
People, if you ask me this question again, exit to the right.
3. Trending

Those people who bandwagon with the trends in K-pop. Like if a "palaos" or lesser known celebrity imitates or dances to a K-pop groups song in order to gain the sympathy of K-pop fans, talk about desperate. Before, you'll see them hating, the next day you see them doing dance covers and song covers, talk about blasphemy.
I'll keep my blog post for this week just like my temper and patience, short. I hope we all learned a valuable lesson from this week, and I hope I dish-out more wholesome posts next time.
